LARA KAAOS - Embrace the Chaos

Part-time bad bitch and full-time music lover LARA KAAOS is always cooking up some weird bootlegs and releasing her own music. She dabbles from genre to genre, as long as the soundscape makes you feel sexy.

It all started around age 11 when she was mesmerised by a live heavy metal broadcast on TV. Her father provided the first instruments, while two cousins taught her guitar and bass, leading to teenage glam rock recording sessions. Later, a DJ friend introduced her to a controller for making rap beats – a natural stepping stone to full-on DJing. Her name honours Lara Croft, while ‘Kaaos’, Finnish for chaos, reflects her genre-defying nature, or perhaps just her messy apartment.

Her sound is full of surprises, currently fusing UK-inspired soundscapes with the high-tempo, pure cunt energy of bounce. Her sets balance intensity with genuine silliness, aiming to make the crowd feel confident in their own skin. And of course there is always room for some Hyper Pop, shocking, am I right?

Centering herself backstage with a fingerboard, she unleashes the storm on stage, where she truly comes alive. LARA KAAOS is an energetic performer who loves to hype the room. Her mission is to show rainbow youth that despite struggles, they can absolutely flourish.

Embraced by the Oulu underground, LARA co-founded the silly4eva collective to inject a missing dose of 'silliness' into the scene. Her evolution is enriched by community collaboration. From organizing The Pearl club nights to techno jams, local mentors and peers didn't define her sound, but they added the necessary spice to the chaotic soup.

Her DJ dream is simply the freedom to live off her passion, pay the bills, and fill the fridge. As a producer, she is diving into experimental collaborations and solo works, with the simple aim of bringing joy through her tracks. If she could do the impossible, she would hijack the Rotuaari city center in Oulu with a massive sound system for one glorious, completely chaotic block party.
