The missing piece of the scene, the silly4eva collective, offers a space for silliness and alternative DJ sounds. Here, no one has to pretend to be cool. What matters most is that people can feel good, sexy, and unapologetically silly, and play whatever they want.

“I'm cringe, but I'm free.”

The trio LARA KAAOS, VINKU and SOFIA found their shared rhythm on a living room floor where SOFIA taught the basics of the decks. Joining forces in 2024 was the obvious choice. The name silly4eva, suggested by VINKU from an idea shared with LARA KAAOS, captures the playful spirit they crave – not just laughter, but a broader whimsical attitude.

Musically, the vibe is banging and bass-heavy, creating a delicious contrast between the heavy sounds and their light-hearted spirit. Tempos often speed past 140 BPM, though there is still room for attitude-filled cunty terrace house. Creatively, nothing is too weird, as long as it works. In a male-dominated scene, the collective stands out with its feminine energy.

At the core of their values is creating a safer space, particularly for the LGBTQ+ community – an atmosphere where everyone can be their authentic selves.

From open deck sessions at Hollihaka to gigs at Mallasterassi and 45 Special, and collaborations like The Pearl at Helmi, silly4eva bridges the DIY and club scenes. Through it all, the mission remains: to bring playfulness and representation to the city, encouraging hobbyists to step out of the bedroom and onto the stage.

The dream for the future is to curate a truly standout event. With more upcoming gigs, collaborations, and Twitch streams, their message is clear: if you feel something is missing from Oulu, that frustration is the best reason to start your own collective.
